The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) recently completed our strategic planning process and we are pleased to announce a new strategic plan to guide our organisation over the next three years.
In 2020, we began a process led by our ACHS Board to develop our new ACHS Strategic Plan 2022-2025 with input from our Council.
This comprehensive process included horizon scanning, SWOT analysis and internal and external consultation with key stakeholders across Australia and globally. An independent organisation was commissioned to consult with external stakeholders which included government agencies, health departments, private health care groups, consumer organisations, clinical professional colleges and international quality societies.
Our Vision - Inspiring Excellence in Healthcare - and our Mission remain unchanged and on course. We are committed to focusing on four overarching Strategic Areas:
1. Strengthening member engagement and experience
2. Enhancing and diversifying our services
3. Demonstrating leadership and innovation
4. Improving our organisational capability.
Effective from 1 July 2021, this new Strategic Plan will enhance our success as a business and our support of valued members.
“Now more than ever, leadership in safety and quality improvement is crucial. Aligned in a common vision and committed to our strategy, ACHS is well-positioned to deliver the new plan,” said ACHS CEO Dr Karen Luxford.
Thank you to all the stakeholders who contributed to the consultation process and provided important input for our future strategic directions. To see our full plan, please click here.
