CI Review and Development Updates

In the second quarter of 2021, several developments in the reviews of the following Clinical Indicator sets were achieved.

- Pathology: The Royal College of Pathologists Australasia has endorsed the Pathology Clinical Indicator set as well as approved by the ACHS Board. This updated set and manual has just been released for data collection with submission for 2nd half 2021 data in February 2022.

- Rehabilitation Medicine: The Rehabilitation Medicine set was endorsed by the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (ARFM) and approved by the ACHS Board for collection retrospectively from the 1st half of 2021, with first reporting in August 2021.

- Emergency Medicine: Emergency Medicine update has been completed with the manual currently under review for endorsement by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM). Once endorsed we anticipate data will commence data collection in January 2022.

- Hospital in the Home: The Hospital in the Home (HITH) Society of Australasia have endorsed the new Hospital in the Home set in May 2021. This set will be endorsed by the ACHS Board shortly before being implemented for data collection in January 2022.

- Medication Safety: Work is currently ongoing to update the Medication Safety clinical indicators in light of the recent publication of the polypharmacy QUM indicators and resources, developed by NSW TAG and NSW Health. This draft is currently being finalised.

- Oral Health: We are planning to have this meeting shortly, and we will be sending out expressions of interest to endorsing bodies shortly.- Maternity: This set will be updated later in 2021, and it will be it scheduled for the 4th Quarter of 2021.

- Radiology & Radiation Oncology: These two set updates will be run in tandem, and this will occur in the later half of 2021. We will look for interested reviewers at the end of 2021.
