The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) has listened to our Member feedback and is implementing significant initiatives to further improve our service and value for members.
Following a comprehensive Business Review, completed in 2020 by an independent consultant, the ACHS Board approved a new Roadmap for ACHS including key projects that will improve our customer interface and further modernise operations.

ACHS is investing in our future directions to ensure that we provide the best possible service to our valued customers,” said ACHS Chief Executive Officer Dr Karen Luxford.
In this exciting period for ACHS, we are:- changing our operational systems to an integrated business management solution to support our Members and Assessors (design phase commencing) - implementing new Business Development and Marketing strategies - designing a new website and improving functionality - planning future approaches to performance data analytics - streamlining internal processes and technology to improve efficiency - enhancing our Lead Assessor cohort.
Following broad consultation with key stakeholders across Australia and globally, the ACHS Board is developing a new Strategic Plan to come into effect from 1 July 2021.
This new plan will include strategic focus areas designed to sustain our business growth and our continued support of valued members. Internal and external stakeholders have been consulted as part of this planning phase, including government agencies, health departments, private health care groups, consumer organisations, clinical professional colleges and international quality societies.
